Early 19th century U.S. Eagle Pommel officer’s saber with 31 3/4 inch blade with unstopped fuller. The sides of the blade have niter blue panels decorated with gold-washed engraving. The obverse side of the blade features an American Eagle and Shield. A ribbon on the reverse of the blade is engraved “RICHAOS” in bold letters. The hilt has a cast brass Eagle head pommel, D-shaped cast guard, cast larsets and down-turned gullion. The hilt has a carved bone grip. The brass scabbard is gold-printed and engraved with an Eagle and shield motif flanked with open floral engraving.
